The song was written by Cory Rooney, Fred Jerkins III, LaShawn Daniels & Rodney Jerkins and produced by also Rodney Jerkins.

The song is well-known for its voyeuristic music video, which was considered groundbreaking at the time when it was released. The video of this song received four nominations at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards: "Best Female Video", "Best Dance Video", "Best Pop Video", and "Best New Artist".
